Occupational First Aid Level 3
Occupational First Aid Level 3 is a program designed to cover all medical techniques considered to be within the responsibility of the Occupational First Aid Attendant providing emergency care in industry.
OFA Level 3: A Comprehensive Introductory First Aid Course
Occupational First Aid Level 3 is the most comprehensive of our introductory first aid courses. In this 70 hour (two week) course, you or your employees will learn all the basic emergency medical techniques that fall under the responsibility of an Occupational First Aid attendant.
[idea]There is no previous first aid training required (OFA Level 1 or 2 is NOT required). There are no minimum age requirements to participate in the OFA courses if certified after August 1, 2018. However, to be a designated first aid attendant in a workplace under the jurisdiction of WorkSafeBC, an employer must ensure that the attendant is at least 16 years of age. Candidates must be able to comprehend the information presented and physically capable of performing the required skills to be issued an OFA certificate. Candidates will receive a digital copy of an Occupational First Aid Statement of Fitness upon registration for their review. This will allow the candidate time to get an OFA Medical Certificate of Fitness from their physician if required. Initial certification requires full participation & course attendance. [/idea]

Certification
Upon completion of OFA Level 3, you will be required to pass an examination conducted by an Instructor. The exam consists of both written and practical segments. A grade of 70% or higher is required on each segment of the exam for successful certification.
OFA Level 3 certification is valid for three years following the examination.
